Borduren met botanische kleuren
Tijdens de Hortus Plants & Art Fair op zaterdag 30 mei en zondag 31 mei 2026 geef ik het hele weekend meerdere workshops “Borduren met botanische kleuren” in de TU Delft Hortus Botanicus.
In deze workshops leer je een klein, intuïtief textielwerk maken met plantaardig geverfde stoffen en natuurlijke materialen. Samen ontdekken we borduurtechnieken, experimenteren we met kleur en textuur, en laat je je leiden door je intuïtie. Aan het einde neem je je eigen miniatuur textielkunstwerk mee naar huis.
Dit ambacht is geworteld in het werken met natuurlijke vezels en de subtiele schoonheid van botanische kleuren. Door ecoprinten met verse bladeren en bloemen ontstaan delicate, vaak onverwachte afdrukken, die de basis vormen voor langzaam, intuïtief textielwerk. Elk werk groeit laag voor laag, steek voor steek, en nodigt uit tot aandacht, verstilling en reflectie.
Alle materialen zijn inbegrepen, zoals eco-geprinte stoffen, plantaardig geverfde wol- en zijdedraden, en houten kralen. Ervaring is niet nodig: of je nu net begint of je vaardigheden wilt verdiepen, je wordt stap voor stap begeleid.

During the Hortus Plants & Art Fair on Saturday 30 May and Sunday 31 May 2026, I will be hosting multiple workshops throughout the weekend titled “Embroidery with Botanical Colours” at the TU Delft Hortus Botanicus.
In these workshops, you will learn to create a small, intuitive textile piece using plant-dyed fabrics and natural materials. Together, we will explore embroidery techniques, experiment with colour and texture, and follow an intuitive approach to making. At the end, you will take home your own miniature textile artwork.
This craft is rooted in working with natural fibres and the subtle beauty of botanical colours. Through ecoprinting with fresh leaves and flowers, delicate and often unexpected imprints emerge, forming the basis for slow, intuitive textile work. Each piece develops layer by layer, stitch by stitch, inviting attention, stillness and reflection.
All materials are included, such as eco-printed fabrics, plant-dyed wool and silk threads, and wooden beads. No prior experience is needed — whether you are just beginning or looking to deepen your skills, you will be guided step by step.
